Music, Radio, Movies

林宇中個人首張專輯 is the latest addition to my ever-growing mandopop collection. Very soothing voice, excellent delivery and groovy compositions. Besides 失戀學, there's also 靠岸, the theme song for UFM1003 <<2530的幸福>>广播剧 which was what got me interested in him initially.

Btw <<2530的幸福>> is a fantastic 广播剧, extremely hilarious - the DJs all take on various interesting personas with all kinds of weird accents (bimbo, HK, ah beng, etc.) - and also examines various love-related issues. I stay up till 1030pm to listen to it every night. Highly recommended!! --> Mon-Fri, 0740am/1215pm/1000pm.

Watched "Over The Hedge" and "XIII" yesterday. The former had a few brilliant moments, but on the whole, I felt that it's a far cry from "Finding Nemo" and "The Incredibles". The plot is a little too simple-minded (kinda expected since the target audience is kids), the movie was relatively short (under 1.5hr), and some jokes aren't that funny (what's tt obssession with a turtle being a reptile/amphibian...?).

"XIII" was a whole load of fun, but the novelty factor wasn't there as I had seen a lot of the footage online already. I kind of wished Angel (Ben Foster) played a more major role. Still, the visual effects were really cool, and the notion of a "cure" for mutants is an intriguing one.

Anw, remember to stay till after the credits for "XIII" for a shocking revelation that paves the way for X4. *Spoiler* If you think abt it, Prof Xavier survived (by transferring his consciousness to a catatonic patient as you'd learn if you stayed till after the credits), they didn't explicitly show Cyclops being killed, Magneto seemed to have retained some of his powers at the end of the show which might suggest that the "cure" could have been less effective/permanent than we have been led to believe (so the possibility of Rogue and Mystique returning as well), and Jean Grey, with her "infinite potential", might be resurrected again like she had been in XIII as Phoenix. *Spoiler*
